2026 Election Schedule

Houston County Convention

  • February 21, 2026. 12 p.m. noon, Caledonia City Auditorium. The Houston County Convention selects delegates and alternates to represent Houston County at CD1 and State level. Everyone welcomed. We will have several VIP Guest Speakers including Rep. Brad Finstad and other candidates running for Statewide offices. 

Township Elections

  • March 10, 2026. Township elections.

MN Senate 26 + MN House 26B Endorsing Convention

  • March 7, 2026. 3 p.m. The MN Senate 26B and MN 26B House Endorsing Convention selects the endorsed candidate for MN Senate 26 and MN House 26B. We will be holding the SD26 endorsement first with Winona and Fillmore Counties. Secondary, we will be holding the MN House 26B with Fillmore County and Mower (4 counties in Mower County are in HD26B). Delegates and alternates elected at the February 3, 2026 Caucuses have voting power for both these endorsements. A 60% or more vote result is required for an endorsement. 

CD1 Convention

  • April 11, 2026. Albert Lea, MN. The CD1 convention will be held in Albert Lea, data and time to be finalized. Delegates and alternates elected at the Houston County Convention have voting power, including endorsement of our CD1 Congressional House Seat nominee.

State Convention

  • May 29-21, 2026. Duluth, MN. The State convention will be held in a location to be determined. Delegates and alternates elected at the Houston County Convention have voting power for endorsed candidates for Governor, Secretary of State, AG, Auditor.

Primary Election

  • August 11, 2026. Primary elections (This determines which candidates for each party will appear on the November 4th ballot).

Election Day

  • November 3, 2026. Election Day ("Mid-term elections").
